Here's how we've been getting ready to welcome you back!

Keeping everything clean for you

  • We've increased our cleaning protocols to ensure a safe shopping environment.
  • We will clean and disinfect high-touch areas and surfaces more frequently, including changing rooms, counters, and cash registers.
  • You'll also find hand sanitizing stations at all of our store entrances and changing rooms.

Knowing your limits

  • We'll be limiting the number of people allowed in our store at once, our store staff included.
  • We've placed health and security standards signage throughout your store to remind you of the social distancing and safety measures in place.
  • We've placed distancing markers on the floor to encourage you to maintain at a safe distance from others.
  • We've installed Plexiglas shields in front of our cash registers.
  • We've limited the number of available changing rooms.
  • Clothing items that you will try will be pulled from the floor for a period of time & steamed before making it back on the selling floor.
  • We ask customers who have cold or flu symptoms or who have recently traveled abroad to shop online.

Choosing limited contact shopping

  • We encourage you to avoid touching products as much as possible. Ask us for help!
  • We will be processing contactless transactions, so we'll ask you to show us the tags for our sales associate to scan.
  • We encourage you to pay with a card instead of cash when possible; make the payment yourself using the terminal to limit close contact.

Returns: Changed your mind?

  • Our employees will be processing contactless returns. This means that all products must be handled by you.
  • Returns will only be accepted at the customer service desk
  • Unless otherwise specified by official provincial authorities, you will have 30 days from store re-opening to return or exchange in-store and online purchases made since February 1st.
  • We dressed up the store for you with new styles, so for any new purchases you make when you visit, our usual return policy applies.

Despite some provincial governments’ authorization to reopen businesses starting May 4th, we will be ready to reopen some our stores starting May 19th. We will take this time to ensure we adequately prepare our stores for your long-awaited return.

This additional delay will also ensure that all public health guidelines will be respected and that our stores remain safe places for our customers.

When it comes to the other remaining provinces, we are monitoring and awaiting the official governments’ announcements to come.

P.S.: Returns of your products purchased before and during quarantine will be accepted with additional protocols in place for a period of 30 days after the reopening of your store of choice, unless otherwise specified by official provincial authorities.

Dear Penningtons Community,

We recognize that it is important to do all we possibly can to protect our employees and customers in these difficult times. To help everyone stay as safe as possible, and in support of collective efforts against COVID-19, we have decided to close all our Reitmans, Penningtons, Addition Elle, RW&CO. and Thyme Maternity stores nationwide today until further notice. We are truly moved by the hard work and resiliency of our devoted teams. During this period of time, all our store employees will be paid for scheduled work hours.

Since we also know that you might need to stay home for a little while with your loved ones, all our Reitmans (Canada) Limited brands are temporarily extending their return policy. You will have 30 days from store re-opening to return in-store purchases made since February 1st. If you have any questions, our customer service teams remain available and dedicated to helping you. Please refer to the Contact Us section of our brands’ websites.

We will miss you in stores, but you can find us online anytime. Our websites remain open 24/7. We also invite you to check out our social media platforms and join our communities to engage with us and share what’s on your mind during these trying times…because incredible things happen in moments of togetherness.

Despite these challenging times we are maintaining normal scheduled packing and shipping operations. However you may experience some delays from Canada Post. Please use the tracking link above to monitor your shipment.
