"...maximum cold and wind protection..." That description is the reason I bought this jacket. I guess it all depends on where you live. Maximum cold where I live is -40 below, and colder. This jacket would be good for -20 C. weather if you were just outside long enough to get from your home into a warm vehicle. Not much longer. You'd probably be OK at -10 to walk a few blocks if you wear a long sleeved bulky sweater under it. It does have a two-way zip, and the outside fabric does shield you from the wind, somewhat. It also seems like it would be water repellent. And the style does look nice on a bigger figure. But the insulation is very poorly made in this jacket. Not much for heat retention. Not great for real Canadian winter weather. I was pretty disappointed. I would recommend this to a friend if they lived in a mild-winter climate.
