How to take your measurements
Bust
Measurement does not pertain to bra size. Wrap a tape measure under arms, keeping the tape comfortably loose. Measure around the fullest part of the bust. Ensure that the tape measure is parallel to the floor.
Height
Stand barefoot with a straight posture.
Regular - For women 5' 4" - 5' 7"
Petite - For women 5' 4" and under - Pant inseam is 3" shorter than regular.
Tall - For women 5' 7" and taller - Pant inseam is 2" longer than regular.
Waist
Keeping the tape measure comfortably loose, measure around the smallest area of your waist.
Hips
With feet together, keeping the tape measure comfortably loose, wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of the hips.
Inseam
Stand with your shoes on and measure from the crotch to the bottom of the shoe.

The pockets are odd. Can't fit my hands in there easily. Others than that it is what you see. I'm glad it was on sale when I bought it as I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price

I was looking forward to receiving this jacket and was so disappointed when it arrived. The material feels almost plasticy and scratchy. Not what you would expect with Sherpa. I used to love everything I bought from Penningtons. What is going on? I have it two stars - the jacket should have been longer and fit true to size. The only thing I liked was the color!

I have been looking for this type of sweater/jacket for some time. I needed something without a hood and it was difficult to find. When I found these, I thought why not give it a try. Ended up buying two and liked them so much, I placed another order for the same jackets to have on hand for the future.

I was expecting the fabric to be much softer than it is, true Sherpa is soft and there is no stretch in this jacket at all and had I known I would have one size bigger. My goal was to wear this as an outside jacket which I can't do because it doesn't fit around my hips. I am so disappointed.

It feels soft and durable. Washes like a dream. I chose one size up to be sure it is roomy and it is comfortable. Nice big pockets.

Pennington's Inconsistent Sizing

This beautiful jacket is a little too tight in the abdomen/hips for me. I got the purple/wine colour which is gorgeous. However, I bought a dusty pink jacket last year same size, also from Pennington's which was generously sized. This one isn't. Unfortunately, you never know the last few years whether something will fit or not when purchasing online because of the inconsistencies. That aside, this is a great jacket, worth buying, but if you're hippy/big belly you might want to try it on first. I'll keep it because I'm in love with the colour!

I LOVE the Sherpa Jacket. A perfect weight and a beautiful green colour and lovely fabric and on and on. It is a generous fit. I ordered up one size so that I could layer but my normal size would have been fine if I hadn't wanted to put a heavy sweater under it. Love it.
