Remove shoes and socks, stand on a sheet of paper with feet comfortably aligned to each other at approximately shoulder width apart, and have your body weight evenly distributed between your feet.
Using a pencil, gently trace the outline of the foot onto the paper, ensure the pencil is kept vertical. The trace will be more accurately done by someone else.
Draw a straight line at the longest toe and at the heel, these two lines must be parallel of each other.
Draw a vertical line connecting these two parallel lines with the right angle (90 degree) is your foot length.
The foot width is measured by a straight line connecting the widest spot of your foot.
If your measurements fall between two sizes, move up to the larger size for a better fit.
They are beautiful and fit true to size, but they put a lot of pressure on the balls of the feet and they quickly become very sore. They are definitely for fashion, not comfort

Finally, I've found a quality winter boot that will work for me and it looks quite dressy in black for church-going too. LOVE the block heel and the fur lining that keeps my feet warm in a boot that offers sturdy ankle support for walking. With the lace-up option, it offers an easier method for slipping it on for my wide-width ankles. Please NOTE that I usually wear a 9.5 width shoe, but ordered this boot in a size 11W, so it runs a size smaller than expected. However, it feels right for me, which will nicely allow me to wear a thin sock in extreme cold weather if I want. I hope that Pennington's keeps this boot on their stock list. I'm glad that I was able to find it on sale too! You should order it in a size larger than you usually wear given its sizing shortfall.

They are comfortable and fit well but these bad boys are not meant to last! They're already coming apart at the side where the boot meets the sole. I'm disappointed. But they were on sale so I'll keep them. But thought I'd warn others if you planned to get them. They're not that good 😔
